PRENTICE, J. Petitioner (Appellant) was convicted of Rape, Ind. Code § 35-13-4-3 (Burns 1975) and Kidnapping, Ind. Code § 35-1-55-1 (Burns 1975) and sentenced to life imprisonment. On direct appeal this Court affirmed the conviction. Beard v. State, (1975) 262 Ind. 643, 323 N.E.2d 216. This direct appeal from the denial of post conviction relief presents the following issues:
